A 90-minute session where I tell you what’s actually holding your business back:
not what you think it is.
Most business owners already know something's off. They just don't know where to look, or they've been looking in the wrong place for months.
WHAT IS IT?
Think of it like a car MOT.
But for your business.
When your car goes in for its MOT, the mechanic doesn't ask you what you think is wrong. They run their own checks, look at the things you'd never think to check, and give you a written verdict. You drive away knowing exactly what's fine, what needs attention, and what needs sorting now.
That's what the Business MOT is. You bring your business. I have a look under the bonnet. And I tell you honestly what I find — not what you wanted to hear, but what you actually need to know.
No 40-page report that ends up in a drawer. No lengthy questionnaires before I've even spoken to you. A straight conversation and a plain written summary you can actually do something with.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Simple. Three parts, 90 minutes.
Before we meet, I'll send you three questions. Not a form. Three open questions that get you thinking about your business before you're in the room with me. Most people find the answers surprising, in a good way.
01
Before we meet
Three questions land in your inbox. You answer them in your own words. No right or wrong: I just want to know what's going on from your side before I start looking from mine.
02
The session
We spend 90 minutes together (online or in person if you're in Dorset). I ask questions. You talk. I listen, properly. Halfway through, I'll already have a picture forming. We end knowing what the real issues are.
03
The verdict
Within 48 hours, you get a written summary. Two to three pages, plain English. What's working, what isn't, and what I'd do first if I were you. Yours to keep and use however you like.
WHAT I LOOK AT?
Six things most people
never think to check.
My background isn't typical for a business consultant, and that's exactly the point. I've worked in law, cybersecurity, GDPR, operations, bookkeeping, and coaching. That means I look at your business through six lenses that most consultants would miss entirely.
⚖️
Accountability
Are the right people responsible for the right things? Or is everything quietly landing back on you?
🌊
Flow
Where does work slow down, get stuck, or need you personally to keep it moving?
🔓
Vulnerability
Where is the single point of failure? What breaks if you're unavailable for two weeks — not on holiday, but actually unable to work?
🔁
Habit
What patterns (yours and your team's) are quietly shaping how the business runs? Good and bad.
💷
Viability
Is the way this business makes money actually sustainable — or is it just functioning? Turnover tells you the business is active. Margin tells you whether it's viable. Most founders know one of those numbers.
📋
Compliance
Does the business do what it says it does: to clients, to staff, to regulators? This is where the gap between your brand promise and your actual delivery gets examined.
WHAT YOU GET
What you walk away with.
No vague action plans. No homework that requires another consultant to decode. Clear, usable output. That's it.
A straight answer on what's actually holding your business back — not a list of possibilities.
A written summary (2–3 pages, plain English) delivered within 48 hours of our session.
A clear sense of what to tackle first, second, and what can wait.
An honest view of where your time and energy are going — and whether that's working for you.
Something concrete to take to your next business decision, hire, or conversation with your accountant.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
The Business MOT works best
when you're honest with yourself.
It's not for everyone, and that's fine. Here's a quick way to check.
This is for you if…
You feel like you're always busy but not moving forward
You're making money but the business still feels chaotic
You've tried fixing things but the same problems keep coming back
You want an outside view, not someone to tell you what you want to hear
You're ready to actually do something with what you find out
This isn't for you if…
You want someone to validate a decision you've already made
You're not willing to hear something that might be uncomfortable
You're looking for a 20-point strategy document
You want someone to just do the work for you (that's a different conversation)
"Giulia helps me make sense of what's in my head, and somehow, she's able to put it down on paper. Suddenly, it all clicks. I can actually see what the inside of my head looks like."

QUESTIONS
A few things people usually ask.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Just answer the three questions I'll send over beforehand honestly, in your own words, without overthinking it. The less polished, the better. That's it.
Is this online or in person?
Either works. If you're in Dorset, we can meet in person. If you're anywhere else in the UK, we'll do it online. The session runs exactly the same either way.
What if I want more support after the session?
Then we talk about what that looks like. Some people take the verdict and run with it themselves. Others want to work together on what comes next, whether that's strategic advisory, building systems, or ongoing support. Nothing is assumed, nothing is pushed.
I'm a sole trader / very small business: is this still relevant?
Yes. Most of my clients are sole traders and small business owners. The MOT is built for businesses where the owner is doing a lot of the heavy lifting because that's usually exactly where the interesting problems are.
What's the difference between this and a coaching session?
Coaching is about helping you figure things out. The Business MOT is me telling you what I see. It's a diagnostic, not a workshop. You're not being guided to your own answer: you're getting mine, backed by what I find.
Still not sure? Book a free 20-minute call and we'll work it out together.
